Co-op in the Pines would like to express their heartfelt
appreciation to Neal Waner for his generous offer to set up an endowment. Not
only has he donated his services, he has also traveled to Big Bear to attend
board meetings and volunteer expert financial advice.
Upon
graduation from college, Neal went directly into financial planning. He
actually got his first securities license (the series 7) while in college and
now manages eight securities licenses or registrations. He’s been in
business for eighteen years, and his Redlands office, Stout and Waner, manages
$140 million on behalf of 600 corporate and individual clients.
With Neal’s
help, Co-op in the Pines is planning for the future in order to ensure longevity
of our beloved pre-school. An endowment allows us to earn the most out of our
current savings and future donations. In 2003 our school made a commitment to
ensuring financial security in the long term by transferring all savings ($5800)
to the endowment, as well as 10% of fundraising
profit and donations. Although we depend on current donations to meet immediate
needs, we will remain committed to ensuring Co-op’s future.
